Project Summary

Recently ICAP’s management team paid a visit to KK Women’s and Children’s hospital (KKH) dressed up as the penguins from the popular children’s film Madagascar. The beneficiaries, along with their families and the staff of Ain Society were invited to enjoy a screening of the movie. At the screening the ICAP penguins made a re-appearance to entertain the children from Ain Society.

Our movie screening for Ain Society was a huge success! Our beneficiaries, their families and our colleagues bonded over the hilarious Penguins of Madagascar! It was a great opportunity knowing the people who will benefit from our efforts on 3rd December 2014, Charity Day!
Danny Cheung, CEO of ICAP Singapore.

The children were eager to take pictures and interact with the ICAP penguins before the animation film. Seventeen year old Manirah and fifteen year old Amalina, both beneficiaries of Ain Society, were beaming with smiles at the event. Manirah said: “This is the best movie experience I’ve had in my life because I get to meet the characters of the movie in person!” “I’m very excited to see the penguins and watch the movie. Thank you ICAP for giving us this opportunity,” added Amalina.

A donation from ICAP Charity Day 2014 will go towards Ain Society’s core programmes, which include financial aid, counselling, support group meetings, transportation services and free tuition for children of families affiliated with the charity. For adult cancer survivors, the charity hold rehabilitative workshops to help them ease back into mainstream living. As an outreach service to the public, support from ICAP will also fund a mobile Cancer EduBus.
