A donation from ICAP will support the MATP (Motor Activity Training Programme), which supports adults and children with intellectual disability who tend to have little or no involvement/connection to any type of physical activity or sport, or the community. The donation will also fund the GB Competitions (crucial for athlete progression, development and aspirations).

Special Olympics GB is the country’s largest provider of year-round sports participation in a variety of Olympic-type sports for all children and adults with intellectual disabilities. It creates engaging, competitive and inclusive programmes which empower, increase confidence, help to realise potential, improve health and mental well-being – installing pride, gaining respect, driving ambition. It also uses the power of sport to provide opportunities for people with intellectual disabilities to live active, healthy and fulfilling lives.
