Charity Overview
Australian Skin Cancer Foundation started in December 2021 with a marquee, some teardrop flags, 3 board members, a few volunteers at Bondi Beach, and a thousand ideas!
Our motivation was the lack of support for patients across Australia. They needed a voice and we wanted to be it! Together with New Zealand, Australia is #1 for melanoma diagnosis, yet the most popular activity on a hot summer day is to tan. We knew we needed to change this culture and so our mission is to provide support, education, fund research, and drive advocacy for melanoma and non-melanoma skin cancers
