Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Triangle

Charity Overview

Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Triangle (BBBST) operates under the belief that inherent in every child is the ability to succeed and thrive in life. As an affiliate of the nation’s largest donor and volunteer supported mentoring network, Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Triangle makes meaningful, monitored matches between adult volunteers (“Bigs”) and children (“Littles”), aged 6-18, in Wake, Durham and Orange Counties. BBBST develop positive relationships that have an impactful, lasting effect on the social and academic development of at-risk young people. National research has shown that the positive relationships between Littles and their Bigs have a direct and measurable impact on children’s lives.
