Charity Overview

The Bangkok Post celebrated its 70th anniversary this year, but its role is not confined to news reporting. It aims to give back to Thai society and has done this since 1982 through the Bangkok Post Foundation.

The foundation supports the education of hundreds of underprivileged children who want to learn, but do not have the same opportunities to attend school as other Thai children. From its inception supporting eight children, today the foundation has sponsored the education of more than 600 students from poor backgrounds, including orphans and children with disabilities. The Bangkok Post Foundation currently provides support for 234 students in kindergarten, primary and secondary schools, vocational colleges and universities throughout the country. To date 163 recipients have graduated from universities and vocational colleges.
