Charity Overview

The Child Health in Life and Development Foundation, Inc. (CHILD) was founded in 1992 with the primary goal of raising funds for the paediatric department at the Philippine General Hospital (PGH). The demand on its current services is overwhelming. The PGH is one of the oldest hospitals in the country and one of the largest in terms of patient referrals. The Paediatric department is under constant pressure to provide quality care to an increasing number of children with life-threatening illnesses.  Most of the PGH patient’s families cannot afford to buy food, let alone bear the expensive costs associated with complicated medical procedures. The foundation aims to extend the current resources available to the ever-growing number of paediatric patients who visit the hospital each year.
