A donation from ICAP will enable SIDS and Kids to run a peer support programme, in which bereaved parents can be trained to offer 24 hour support to other newly bereaved families so they can share their experiences and offer comfort and hope.

Charity Overview

SIDS and Kids provide bereavement support to families who have experienced the sudden and unexpected death of their baby or young child. This includes during pregnancy, neo-natal death, sudden onset illness and accidents. The Newcastle based drop-in centre is a safe place for families to receive counselling, have access to bereavement support materials and attend support groups with other bereaved parents and families.
