Every day a simple accident results in another Australian being paralysed by a spinal cord injury. The impact of a spinal cord injury on someone's life – and that of their family and friends – is devastating. A damaged spinal cord not only means losing control of your muscles, but also deprives you of many other the sensations including pain, pleasure, touch and pressure, and sometimes the ability to breathe unaided. Until recently a cure was considered impossible but with the advances in medical research, SpinalCure is dedicated to making that cure a reality.
