One woman every nine days is killed at the hands of her current or former partner. Women's and Girls' Emergency Centre (WAGEC) is working to end gender based violence in a generation and enable women and children to create safe futures.

Based in Sydney, WAGEC has been working with women impacted by domestic and family violence, homelessness and disadvantage for over 44 years. Every night WAGEC support about 200 women and children and everyday, through targeted programs, they nurture healing and wellbeing, build financial independence and ensure children have the resources to learn and thrive.
