Charity Overview
The John Berne School exists to fill a gap in the education system: the education of vulnerable young people who for whatever reason find that they do not "fit" into mainstream education. Students arrive at Berne often having experienced much failure.
Berne provides a secure, safe, enriching and challenging educational environment which gives students in difficulty a second chance at achieving the educational outcomes that will enable them the opportunity to reach their potential and pursue whichever path they choose beyond Berne. Each student is assigned a Counsellor and our holistic curriculum is tailored to each student's individual learning needs.
