Children's Defense Fund

Charity Overview

The Children’s Defense Fund (CDF), established in 1973, serves as the leading independent voice for all children in America focusing on the essential needs of every child, especially those most at risk due to poverty, inequality and disability. CDF advocates for the best interests of children through rigorous research, public education, youth leadership development, and community-based programs every day nationally and locally in 29 states across the country. CDF conducts independent research and publishes reports to guide government officials and policy leaders toward practices that will make a meaningful and lasting positive impact in the lives of each child.
