Challenged Athletes Foundation

Charity Overview

The heart of the Challenged Athletes Foundation (CAF) has always been rooted in creating life-changing mentoring and adaptive sports opportunities for people with permanent physical disabilities.

Over the past 26 years, CAF has awarded over 30,000 individual grants across 103 different sports. The scope of their community includes those with congenital differences, limb loss, paralysis, and other disabilities due to cancer, traumatic incidents, and devastating disease. They award grants for adaptive sports equipment (not covered by health insurance), sports prosthetics, training, and competition costs and provide inclusive camps and clinics to help athletes progress in their sport and community.
