Every year, 15 million babies are born prematurely, into a world they are not ready for. 1 million do not survive. Of those that do, 1 in 10 are left with a life-changing disability.
Premature birth is the cause of bereavement, trauma and heartbreak to millions of families every year. But it’s still largely unexplained and misunderstood.
Borne is a medical research charity founded to prevent premature birth. Their mission is to find answers, improve care and nurture talent in order to stop babies being born too soon, everywhere and forever.
