A donation from ICAP Charity Day will go towards the Support, Housing and Enablement (S.H.E. Project). The project will provide underprivileged women with stable housing and support from trained personnel and services. This will enable them to stabilise their living conditions; build their confidence and capacity; enable them to find more permanent accommodation after the programme ends and build a path towards financial independence.

Charity Overview

AWARE is Singapore’s leading advocacy group dedicated to promoting gender equality. Since its inception in 1985, AWARE has brought women’s perspectives into national issues. AWARE provides valuable support services to women in the community including a crisis helpline and Singapore’s only Sexual Assault Care Centre.

Since 2016, AWARE has partnered with Daughters of Tomorrow (DOT) to support and empower lower income women to secure stable employment through training, mentoring and job matching.
