Couleurs de Chine

Charity Overview

Couleurs de Chine was established by a French women, Francoise Grenot-Wang, who focussed her mission on three Chinese ethnic minorities; Miao, Dong and Yao. Whilst working with these communities in 1990, she became impelled by the difficulties young girls faced with regards to education as it was neither a priority for the authorities nor their families. As a result of this, Francoise Grenot-Wang decided to set up an educational sponsorship programme. The charity focuses on sustainability by investing in teacher training and student sponsorship, which enables many of them to gain employment in their local schools.
