The President's Challenge

Since 2000, The President's Challenge has raised more than SGD $150 million for more than 500 charities with diverse social causes; helping children with special needs, people with disabilities, young people at risk, isolated elderly and families in distress. A donation from ICAP will enable The President’s Challenge to increase support to its charity partners.

Charity Overview

The President's Challenge is an annual community outreach for beneficiaries selected every year by the President's Office. It is the President’s call to all Singaporeans to do their part to build a more caring and inclusive society.

Initiated by former President S R Nathan in 2000, the President's Challenge represents the coming together of people from all walks of life, under the President’s patronage, to help those who are less fortunate. In 2012, under the leadership of President Tony Tan Keng Yam, the Challenge has been expanded to go beyond fund-raising, by promoting volunteering and social entrepreneurship.
