Helse Bergen and Haukeland University Hospital employ around 11,800 people whose mission is to provide the best possible care and treatment to patients. Every year the hospital treat almost 600,000 patients and train nearly 2,000 health workers. 

The Department of Oncology and Medical Physics is the main regional cancer clinic of Western Norway. This area is responsible for most forms of advanced non-surgical cancer treatments in Helse Vest RHF (Rogaland, Hordaland, Sogn og Fjordane counties). Helse Bergen, Cancer Post was established to support Cancer patients and their loved ones. The facilities exist to provide the best possible treatment and care to patients, with the primary aim of making it as comfortable as possible for them during this difficult and stressful time in their life.
