Advancing Systemic Solutions to end Enslavement and Trafficking (ASSET) works to end slavery by amplifying the victim’s voice. ASSET focus on enabling companies to eradicate enslavement in supply chains as 78% of all victims are forced into labour, producing many of the products we find in our own homes and offices today. ASSET successfully passed legislation in California (SB657) enforcing companies to disclose their strategy to eradicate slave labour. As a result of this legislation, the UK and now the EU have also taken action. ASSET’s next step is to improve compliance policy against enslavement and collaborate with more companies and human rights activists.
