With ICAP’s support the Pro Criança Cardíaca can increase the number of heart surgeries and invasive cardiological procedures for children in underprivileged areas that suffer from heart disease. Since 1996 the charity have accomplished over 1,200 procedures and 264 surgeries - ICAP Charity Day will enable them to continue this vital work.

Charity Overview

Pro Criança Cardíaca is a Non-Profit Medical and Social Institution which cares for underprivileged children diagnosed with heart disease. The charity provide these children with medical assistance; dental care; psychological support; medication; basic food provision; clothes, books and toys.

When a child is admitted for Medical Assistance they will undergo a Medical Examination, Electrocardiogram and Echocardiogram. This level of service is normally unheard of in underprivileged areas the charity target. Each week Pro Criança Cardíaca aim to see at least 40 patients, ensuring the best possible care is provided by a team of highly qualified medical staff.
