Australia’s Indigenous population is the most disadvantaged group in the country. With ICAP funding Barnardos Australia will be able to help 115 Indigenous children aged 5 - 12 years, who are most at risk. The support programmes consist of a range of educational and recreational activities which run before and after school, designed to improve numeracy, literacy and confidence.

Barnardos help families get through crisis situations to give children the best possible home life and to help them build a future. The charity also deal with issues such as violence, poverty and homelessness. If it is not safe for a child to stay with their family, Barnardos find safe homes through foster care and adoption.
